FaxBeam Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

The short version

Faxing means your pages have to leave your phone: they go to our server and to our fax company, Sinch, so the fax can be dialed and delivered. We keep them only as long as that takes. There is no account to create, no advertising, no tracking and no data selling.

What leaves your phone, and why

Documents you fax. The pages you choose to send and the fax numbers you send them to go to our server and to Sinch, which places the fax call. Our server deletes its copy of the document once every recipient's fax has finished, and in any case within 24 hours. After each fax we ask Sinch to delete its copy, and our Sinch service is set not to store fax documents.

Faxes you receive. If you have a FaxBeam fax number, faxes sent to it are received by Sinch and passed to our server along with the sender's number, so you can open them in the app. Received faxes are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted; you can delete any of them sooner in the app. When a fax arrives, Sinch's copy is deleted.

Fax history. For each fax we keep the numbers, page count, times and delivery result so the app can show your history and status. These records are deleted after 13 months.

Purchase information. When you subscribe, Apple gives the app a signed record of the purchase. The app shows it to our server, which checks Apple's signature before sending a paid fax. We store the subscription's transaction identifier, plan and renewal date, never your name or payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions; it receives your purchase history under an anonymous identifier that is not linked to you.

The free test fax. To give one free test fax per Apple Account, the app shows our server Apple's signed record that your Apple Account downloaded FaxBeam. We store only the anonymous identifier from that record.

Device data. The app creates a random install identifier that is not tied to you. If you allow notifications, we store your device's push token and use it only to tell you a fax was delivered, failed or arrived.

What stays on your phone

Camera and photos. Scanning, cropping and cleanup happen on your iPhone. Only the pages you choose to fax are sent.

Contacts. If you pick a recipient from your contacts, only the fax number you pick is used. Your contacts are not uploaded.

What we never do

Who receives data

Each receives only what it needs for that job.

Your choices

Security

All traffic between the app, our server and Sinch is encrypted (HTTPS). The fax company's key lives only on our server, never in the app.

Children

FaxBeam is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
